BADSHAI MOSQUE (PAKISTAN)

One of the most famous mosque of the world,Badshahi mosque is located in Lahore,Pakistan.Lahore is the capital city of province Punjab.Punjab is the most developed and educated province of  Pakistan .Badshahi mosque is situated in the heart of Lahore.It is the second largest mosque of Pakistan and Fifth largest mosque in the World.

AURANGZAIB THE WORLD CONQUEROR:

It was built under the orders of great sixth  Mughal emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir,son of great Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Aurangzaib ,"The glory of the throne" took the title Alamgir or World conqueror ,when he become the emperor.He was a courageous,determined and diligent ruler.By fighting continuously untill he was in his eighties,he made the Mughal Empire bigger than it had ever been. Aurangzaib,a strict muslim ruler lived simply and followed the principles of his faith.He was a learned man himself and educated all his children ,including in Islamic studies also.The days of singing,music,painting and poetry were over.He did not like these things because these were not considered good in religion.He considered his duty to rule fairly and fearlessly.He also employed Hindues in his goveronment and in his army.In Akbar's region the tax(jizya)  was abolished  but he brought back the jizya on non-muslims.He built educational institutes to educate his people.The civil war between  him  and  his brothers was very expensive for him.He had to pay a lot of money to his army for fight.He was not only a strict ruler but he was also very strict with his family. He kept his brothers as slaves in the cell and his behaviour was very cold.He built the famous mosque "Badshahi Mosque" in his rgion.It's design resemble that of mosque in Delhi.

Its design is very beautiful and eye catching. It attracts a million of visitors every year.

Badshahi Mosque

Lahore is a famous city and it was made capital by Akbar.Anyway,the mosque construction started in 1671.After two years of its construction,the mosque was opened and its hall is capable of accomodating about 55,000 worshippers.

It has close resemblance with the mosque of Dehli which was constructed under the orders of Shah Jahan ,a Mughal emperor.

INTERIOR:

The inside outline of Mosque is a blend of Afghan and Moorish design.Badshahi mosque highlight red sandstone with white marble inlay.Here,are some of photographs :

  IQBAL'S TOMB:

  Allama Iqbal  is the national poet of Pakistan.He is  also known as the thinker of pakistan(Mufakir-e-Pakistan).He wrote many poems to awake the people of subcontinent . He asked the muslims to fight for their rights.His famous books on poetry are :Zarb-e-kalim,Bang-e-Dara;Israr-e-Khudi,Bal-e-Jibril,Javed nama.He also wrote many poems for children.Famous ones are Parandey ki faryad,Dua,Makhi aur Makra,Pahar aur gulheri,Bulbul aur Jugnu and so many.He died on April 21st,1938.he is buried on the backside of Badshahi mosque .He had two children.His son name was Javed.
